Jack Tinney and Meridith Osborne Successfully Represent the City of Charleston, WV in a Constitutional Challenge to the Municipality's Business and Occupation Tax

The plaintiff, an attorney practicing in the City of Charleston, sought a declaratory judgment that the ordinance violated the principles of equal protection and other constitutional principles. On January 6, 2004, Kanawha County Circuit Judge Louis Bloom granted the City's Motion for Summary Judgment and dismissed the case in its entirety.
